Design of embedded communications interface between legacy industrial control systems and UK Coal’s chosen SCADA network, Wonderware Intouch.

Formac has worked with ABB on a number of coal mining projects, supplying specialised data recording systems and serial communications software for some of their Chinese projects. Formac designed a communications bridge for connection between a Westinghouse control system and ABB’s Masterview 800 series SCADA system.

Alkane operates a number of methane gas extraction plants in the UK. The company chose TelGas™ so that they could remotely monitor and analyse plant performance. Alkane rely on TelGas™ to remotely archive their site data on Formac’s in-house server.
