Coal Mine Gas Extraction
Formac currently designs and manufactures methane gas plant control systems for closed mine sites in the UK. To date, Formac has manufactured 17 building or container based systems for its clients. These systems are designed to extract gas from disused coal mine sites and supply the gas to industrial consumers or local containerised gas engines for power generation. The control systems employ the latest Schneider Electric switchgear and PLC technology.
Methane Drainage
Formac has designed and manufactured a containerised control system to operate as methane drainage system for Tabas coal mine. The system uses similar technology to the proven UK closed mine control systems.
