Environmental Monitoring for UK Atomic Energy Authority

The main contractor, Mowlem, won a contract for the remediation of a brown field land at UKAEA’s Harwell site. The hazardous nature of the material buried on the site meant that an extensive monitoring network was required to record data and to alert personnel while the remediation process was taking place. Mowlem chose Formac’s TelGas system to provide monitoring for 148 gas detectors on the site and to alert local personnel when a dangerous level was detected.

Monitoring Network for Esso CNG Filling Stations

Esso operated a number of CNG filling stations for commercial vehicles in the UK. The containerised gas compressor systems were manufactured, supplied and maintained by Gardner Denver. A monitoring system was required for the gas compressors which would integrate readily into their control system without affecting integrity.

Crowcon Detection Systems UK required an environmental monitoring network for a theme park in the USA. Formac supplied a TelGas network which monitors, records and displays alarm events when gas levels in a series of caves became too high.

Environmental CO Monitoring for Fort Martin

Crowcon Detection Systems UK required a multipoint monitoring network for their client's Fort Martin Power Station, Allegheny Energy, West Virginia. Crowcon chose the TelGas system to continuously record all data and events in addition to detecting and alerting when environmental CO levels on the coal pulverisation plant become dangerous.
