TelGas™ has been designed specifically for the gas processing industry. TelGas™ provides a range of modular solutions, which can be applied to both simple instrumentation and complex networked control schemes.

TelGas™ offers local and remote mimics, logging, event recording messaging and data analysis. TelGas™ hardware can be readily integrated into existing instrumentation and controls owing to its compact, low power design.

The low powered (3W typical) TelGas™ system does not require forced ventilation and is often a much better alternative to installing a remote access server running a SCADA package.

The TelGas™ hardware collects real-time digital and analogue data directly from the control system, together with alarm messages from the man machine interface.

TelGas™ operates non-intrusively and cannot adversely effect the operation of the plant. Data is stored efficiently in three separate databases which can be independently accessed by the off-site computer:

Standard database containing background analogue and digital data stored at five- minute intervals.
Alerts database storing both alert messages and a data pre-history with a one-second resolution.
Alerts text database storing just the alerts text messages for easy retrieval by mobile personnel.

Data direct from each site is captured on an off-site PC running the TelGas™ Scheduler and database manager. SMS and email messaging are also configured from the PC.

Data Retrieval & Security
The TelGas™ system is configured so that office and field personnel have access to all information whenever required. Industry standard security protocols and custom software keys keep commercially sensitive data secure.

Data Storage
TelGas™ uses a Microsoft™ Access™ database for storage of all site data. An intuitive Windows™ interface provides a flexible database management facility with tools provided to define retrieval preferences and export options.

Mimic Display
The Mimic displays show real-time plant parameters and alarm conditions. Navigation buttons allow the user to examine specific plant hardware in greater detail. An alarm history log is provided on an individual screen.

Mimic Replay
TelGas™ has a replay feature which enables any part of the database to be replayed on screen. This facility is particularly useful for analysing events leading up to an alarm. The 5 minute history before the alarm event can be replayed with a one second resolution.

Analysis
TelGas™ offers a comprehensive range of data filtering and analysis tools so that the needs of both management and engineering staff can be catered for.

Exported data is compatible with Microsoft™ Excel™ and can thus be displayed in many different formats e.g. graphs, charts, custom presentations and tables.
